DAY 01 - SINHARAJA

Sinharaja Forest Reserve
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot Located within Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces of the south-west lowland wet zone of Sri Lanka. The total area of the Sinharaja Forest Reserve is 18,900 acres or 7,648 hectares and ranges in altitude from 300m to 1,170m.

It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rainforest. More than 60% of the trees are endemic and many of them are considered rare. This treasure trove of endemic species, including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.

The hilly virgin rainforest, part of the Sri Lanka lowland rain forests eco region and was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility, this was designated as World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a World Heritage Site in 1988.

Early start in Mirissa you will be taken to Mirissa harbor at 6.00 Am for Boat Trip to observe whales and dolphins in their natural habitat these coastlines are known for some of the best locations globally for whale watching on their migratory path from the Horn of Africa to the Bay of Bengal. During the whale migration season it’s easy to spot Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, sometimes Killer whales, and Common dolphins, Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso’s dolphins and striped dolphins you may Sometimes can see turtles and various fish species

DAY 04 - yala

Yala National Park
Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, bordering the Indian Ocean. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and UVA Province. The park covers 979 square kilometers (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometers (190 mi) from Colombo.The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and aquatic birds. Yala harbors 215 bird species including six endemic species of Sri Lanka. The number of mammals that has been recorded from the park is 44, and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

DAY 05 - UDAWALAWA

Udawalawe National Park
The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, The reserve covers 30,821 hectares (119.00 sq mi)  and lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka

Udawalawe is an important habitat for Sri Lankan elephants, which are relatively hard to see in its open habitats with a herd of about 250 believed to be permanently resident and the park is also a good birdwatching site to endemic and rare migrants.

The Species recorded from the park include 94 plants, 21 fish, 12 amphibians, 33 reptiles, 184 birds (33 of which are migratory), and 43 mammals. Additionally, 135 species of butterflies are among the invertebrates found in Udawalawe.

This is a popular tourist destination and the third most visited park in the country

DAY 07 - negambo

Negombo is situated in west coast of Sri Lanka. The wide sandy beaches and the safe sea are the main attractions of Negombo. And it’s in close proximity to the Bandaranaike International Airport. A boat trip winding through the lush mangroves down the Dutch Canal or Muthurajawela Marsh will reward you with sightings of monitor lizards and flocks of migrant birds
