DAY 01 - madu river & galle

Madu River

Galle Fort
Galle is a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Stone sea walls, expanded by the Dutch, encircle car-free streets with architecture reflecting Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th-century Dutch Reformed Church. Galle Lighthouse stands on the fort’s southeast tip

Activities

  • Meet Infinity Lanka representative at the Airport
  • Transfer you to Mirissa 5 hours’ drive approximately
  • Enroute to mirissa go on a Boat safari at Madu River through the primitive depths of the mangrove marshes and see crocodiles, water snakes, tree snakes. Stop by another of the islands; which are the source of the cinnamon industry and outdoor fish massage parlor,
  • Take a walk inside Galle Fort, built by the Portuguese invaders and occupied by the Dutch. Galle Fort is an interesting piece of history
  • Overnight stay at Mirissa.

DAY 02 - mirissa

Situated 151km from Colombo, Mirissa is one of the main beach destinations in southern Sri Lanka. Mirissa is a perfect place to soak up sun for a day or two and its one of the best places in the world to spot blue whales.

Whales Watching Boat Tour
Whales Watching Boat Trip to observe whales and dolphins in their natural habitat is one of the main tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. DAY 03 - sinharaja

Sinharaja Forest Reserve
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a national park and a biodiversity hotspot Located within Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces of the south-west lowland wet zone of Sri Lanka. The total area of the Sinharaja Forest Reserve is 18,900 acres or 7,648 hectares and ranges in altitude from 300m to 1,170m.

It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rainforest. More than 60% of the trees are endemic and many of them are considered rare. This treasure trove of endemic species, including trees, insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.

The hilly virgin rainforest, part of the Sri Lanka lowland rain forests eco region and was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility, this was designated as World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a World Heritage Site in 1988

  • Early morning Bird watching trail – Sinharaja Rain Forest is Home to over 25 endemic species and a myriad of others, Sinharaja is fondly referred to as a bird watcher's paradise. Indulge in the sound silence of the leafy everglades, in wait of the prize, Blue Magpie or the Sri Lanka White Eye.
  • Breakfast at the Hotel
  • Rain forest walk - Take a trek through the quaint paths of Sinharaja where placid undergrowth lie in wait for the appreciation of all who wish to indulge in the tranquil wilderness of Sri Lanka's world renowned rainforest.
  • & Overnight stay at Sinharaja

DAY 04 - Transfer to colombo

Activities

  • This completes the Sri Lanka 04 Days Tour Itinerary (Option-4) with infinity Lanka Tours and depending on the time of your flight, you will be transferred to the airport directly from Sinharaja. Transfer to Colombo – 5 hours drive approximately
